Sometimes he’s just not that into you. You send a text hoping for an elaborate reply on how much he misses you. Or at least any reply at all. Instead you’re left with a big fat giant ‘read’ on your Facebook messenger.

Cue social mortification.

I had a melodramatic breakdown about a week ago (which you may have caught on if you read the previous post). But I guess your 20s are just filled with existential dread and crises, one after another after another until you hit 30! I’m presuming they stop by then, right? Hopefully by the time I have my own flat in NYC,  where I will write and live a private life with my dachshund called Jimmy.

I really don’t mind

allergies, aloneness, family, holiday

I don’t mind being alone.

I don’t mind sitting here writing and watching Doctor who specials.

I don’t mind cooking for myself.

What I dread? Is tomorrow when everyone is going to ask what I did, who I saw, did I have a good holiday?

What do I say?

How do I not be rude and avoid the pity?

I really don’t mind today.

I am dreading tomorrow.

My family knows where I am.

My friends know where I am.

No one wants to invite me over because I have to bring my own food. I would be a third wheel.

So no I really don’t mind at all, being alone. I am dreading tomorrow.
